Executive Management Team
Robert F. Buie, Founding Principal, has made his mark in the Southern California real estate development industry, by developing his craft and impeccable relationships grounded in enduring partner alliances for over 45 years. He has been instrumental in the development of high profile, master-planned communities, and over 10,000 residential units. He was formerly a senior officer of a publicly-traded homebuilder and formed the Buie Stoddard Group of Companies in 1983. Mr. Buie received an MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and a Civil Engineering degree from Virginia Polytechnical Institute.
Jeffry L. Stoddard, Founding Principal, is a passionate real estate strategist with extensive experience in land development, home building and income property development. His diligence for creating wealth in real estate has resulted in numerous acquisitions and development of residential and commercial projects in Southern California and Idaho for over 35 years. Mr. Stoddard received an MBA from Harvard Business School and degrees in Business Administration from the University of Idaho. Prior to co-founding the Buie Stoddard Group of Companies, he held positions at AVCO Community Developers and Continental Illinois National Bank.
James M. Saivar, Founding Principal. For the past 35 years, he has been the visionary leading the design, planning and marketing of thousands of residential units in master-planned communities throughout Southern California. Mr. Saivar graduated from California State University at Northridge with a degree in Business Administration. He has received numerous awards for marketing excellence over the past two decades and is recognized as a leader in residential marketing.
Joseph T. DeComa, Jr., Chief Financial Officer/Senior Vice President, is responsible for overall management of lender, partner, and capital market relationships. A graduate of San Diego State University, he began his financial career in 1978 with Home Fed Bank, later serving as vice president and lead member of a major lending team. Mr. DeComa joined Buie in 1988. Mr. DeComa has personally been responsible for the replacement of over $1 billion of debt and equity during his career with the Buie Stoddard Group.
Reyna D. Garcia, Controller, is responsible for all accounting functions of the firm, including financial reporting, maintenance of accounting systems, and management of outsourced functions. When she joined Buie Stoddard Group LLC in 2006, she brought over 15 years of real estate accounting experience spanning property management, construction, and corporate accounting. Her responsibilities include auditing, financial reporting, accounting systems management, and team leadership roles. Ms. Garcia received her bachelor's degree from San Diego State University and MBA from National University.
Robert Montgomery, Vice President/Director of Planning, is responsible for project entitlement, governmental relations and land acquisition research. Mr. Montgomery has been with the Buie Stoddard Group for more than 30 years. His accomplishments include planning, zoning and development permit entitlements for more than 10,000 homes and over 1,000,000 square feet of retail, office, apartment, and hospitality projects. Mr. Montgomery is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine and has been working in planning and real estate development since 1973.
Andrea Manning, Director of Leasing and Asset Management, is responsible for managing the Company’s portfolio of retail and commercial assets including financial performance, directing leasing efforts and overseeing the property management team. After graduating from UCLA with a bachelor's degree in economics, Mrs. Manning began her career at CBRE where she worked with one of the company's top retail investment teams. In 2007, she transitioned to Burnham USA Equities, where she served as Real Estate Manager overseeing the leasing and management of a portfolio consisting of retail, office and mixed-use properties. Mrs. Manning is a licensed real estate salesperson, Certified Leasing Specialist throught the International Council of Shopping Centers and is currently pursuing her CPM designation through IREM.
